General enquiries

We're situated at 12a The Quay, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, NR23 1AH, right in the heart of the harbour. You'll find us on the quayside with direct views across the water.

Yes, we offer gift vouchers for both our restaurant and accommodation. Please contact us directly at admin@plattens.com to arrange these.

The Platten's restaurant is fully accessible via wheelchair, but please contact us directly at admin@plattens.com to discuss your specific accessibility requirements. We'll be happy to advise on the most suitable options for your visit.

We accept all major credit and debit cards both in our restaurant and for accommodation bookings. 

ACCOMMODATION

We offer boutique rooms, loft rooms, and self-catering family apartments, all located above our harbourside restaurant with many rooms featuring sea views.

Check-in is at 4pm on your arrival date, and check-out is at 11am on your departure date.

Early check-in may be available depending on occupancy. If you've booked through Booking.com, please message us through their platform. If you've booked directly, email stay@plattens.com with your request, name, and arrival date. Requests are monitored 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Please contact us at stay@plattens.com to discuss late check-out availability. We'll do our best to accommodate where possible.

Unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate pets in any of our rooms or apartments at present.

Due to our harbourside location, we don't have on-site parking. However, Stearman's Yard Car Park is a 3-minute walk away and offers overnight parking. The Port of Wells car park is directly opposite but doesn't permit overnight stays.

The beach is approximately one mile away. If you prefer not to walk, there's a shuttle bus service operated by Holkham that runs from the playing field to the beach.

All rooms include king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, smart TVs, coffee machines, free WiFi, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, hairdryers, fans, heating, and breakfast. Full details are available on individual room pages.

Some rooms offer sea views, but not all. Please enquire when booking if a sea view is important to you.

Yes. For group bookings, please contact stay@plattens.com with your group size, preferred dates, and any specific requirements.

Restaurant & takeaway

We welcome walk-ins, but recommend booking ahead during peak season to avoid disappointment. You can reserve a table by calling 01328 711 249 or emailing admin@plattens.com.

Yes. We offer a range of options for gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets, and we're continually developing new menu items to ensure all our guests can enjoy dining with us.

Our restaurant menu is different from our takeaway menu based on speed, preparation differences, and season availabilities. Please consult our restaurant page for the latest menus and information.

You can order through our app for the fastest service, or visit our harbourside counter for collection. Download the app by scanning the QR code at our premises or visiting our website.

No, we don't offer delivery. However, you can place your order through our app and select a collection time that suits you.

Yes. We serve only MSC-certified and FAS-accredited seafood from trusted suppliers, and we work directly with Wells fishermen for the freshest local catch.

Wherever possible, yes. Our potatoes are supplied by a local grower who's been our trusted supplier for nearly 30 years, and we prioritise local sourcing throughout our menu.

Our opening hours vary seasonally. Please check our website or contact us directly for current times. The restaurant closes one hour before the takeaway each day.

Absolutely. We're a family-friendly establishment and welcome children in both our restaurant and takeaway service.

Yes, we offer child-friendly portions and menu options. Please ask our team when you visit.

Yes. Please inform our team of any allergies when ordering, either in person, over the phone, or via the app notes section. We take allergies seriously and will advise on suitable options.

Yes. We use 100% recyclable, biodegradable bamboo packaging, along with wooden cutlery and paper bags.
